In my opinion the LIC goggles are better than a GoPro, but it matters what type of video you want to capture. I have LIC goggles (impact series) and I absolutely LOVE them! The only downfalls are that they are goggles so you won’t be able to get that really cool angle shot and if you are up in the mountains they fog up fast. But over all the pros of the LIC goggles top Gopro’s. It is incredibly easy to start/stop video and you can even take pictures. The battery life will last a good 9 hours while recoding. You can vividly see if it is recording or not by the l.e.d. light inside the goggle without distorting your vision and the audio is pretty nice. I think they are even cheaper than a GoPro also. And as an additional plus, who do you know who has video recoding goggles?!? When I’m riding the trails I get a lot of people asking about them. Definitely worth your money.
GoPro needs to talk to the Liquid Image guys about audio, MAN what a difference, the gopro has wind noise even in the bloody case. For mounting on your head the Liquid Image wins, the problem is a lot of people like to talk on their vlogs, would the Liquid Image pick up your voice ? if so how well ? and if not does it have an external mic input ? The Liquid Image is also half the price.
Nice test. Is it possible to Adjust the lens of the liquid direct it a bit more upwards? Also the gopro is nice to play with and place it on different spots. Both have pro & Cons. I do think they are both amazing but maybe Liquid can make a small extern camera and than it might be better. We’ll see what the future brings us.
